Success Story – Sept – Thelma Thompson

Ms. Thelma Thompson came to stay at Calhoun Convalescent Center after a decline from a recent hospitalization which caused her to be weak, unable to perform transfers and ambulate due to wounds on bi-lateral heels.
After working with therapy and wearing off-loading shoes, Ms. Thelma’s heel issues were resolved, and she was able to stand and walk independently without an assistive device. Ms. Thompson thrived at Calhoun and attended activities, as well as therapy group sessions every day.
The Calhoun staff was blessed to have such a wonderful resident and we all wish her the best at home with her daughter and Home Health Services.
