“We applaud your success Ms. Fuqua!”

Ms. Hilda Fuqua admitted to Calhoun Convalescent Center after several months of being in and out of hospital for discitis of lumbosacral region, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and failure to thrive which left her unable to return home with her family.

At the beginning of her journey, Ms. Hilda was unable to stand safely, perform self-care tasks, or ambulate with assistive device.  After working diligently with nursing and therapy, Ms. Fuqua was able to bath and dress herself, transfer out of bed independently, and ambulate with rollator 200 feet. 

She will be returning home soon with her granddaughter, where she is anxiously waiting to return to her normal activities and attend church. We are so thankful for having Ms. Fuqua and helping her to achieve her goals!
